Research
Members of our team have participated in research projects for national organizations such as Sport England, the Environment Agency, and Natural England.
At the local level we have undertaken research for local authorities and commercial and voluntary organizations to help inform them in making decisions and taking action.
At the academic level we are always very keen to assist in whatever way we can in developing thinking and practice within the leisure profession. Our consultants regularly contribute to professional and academic journals, and have links with national policy 'think tanks'. We are happy to work with others in collaborative research projects. At this point in time we are seeking interest in working on research projects in the following areas:
- Children’s Play
- Young people and leisure
- The relationship between public open space and quality of life
- Open spaces for communities
- Rural tourism
- Integrated planning for leisure and local authority ‘best practice’
